Microsoft Changes Content Usage Rules
by Jake Doolin
In news that may make some popular Lets Play channels worry, Microsoft has updated it's game content usage rules. While most of the changes are relatively tame (such as no pornographic images or illegal acts may be promoted with games content) several new editions to the rules are causing some head scratching.
The biggest change is the that Microsoft will allow video makers to make money off game footage in their videos through ads, but only if the content isn't "objectionable." What this means is anyone's guess and could offer up some problems in the future as the definition of that rule is completely up to Microsoft.
Besides that, Lets Players are not allowed to use the games title in their video descriptions if they want to continue making money.
Microsoft hasn't clarified what the punishment will be for those who break these new rules.
