Microsoft apologizes and claim they appreciate the understanding of their fans in the form of extra content for players of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Players will receive 1-month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate and avatar, as well as the campaign for “Halo 3: ODST” remastered in 1080p and 60fps for Xbox One. The offer will start on November 11 and December 19 of this year.
The reason for the apology involves matchmaking issues with The Master Chief Collection soon after release, in addition to other issues involving the launch of the Xbox One.
Microsoft also revealed a new Relic map would join the game during the spring of 2015, along with the remastered ODST.
