Jeff Miller’s Not Canceling Glorious Leader! Despite Sony Situation

by Andi Tolentino

With all the controversies over the film The Interview and Sony deciding to cancel the showing of The Interview due to threats, Jeff Miller, the creator of a video game starring and mocking Kim Jong Un, has shown no plan of canceling his project.

Miller shared with the Associated Press that he’s actually more motivated than before to finish Glorious Leader!

“We want the game to be as topical as possible," he said.

In the game, the North Korean leader is said to be riding a unicorn while he prevents his country from invasion.

Miller is looking to raise money to make his studio’s cyber security much stronger to avoid a humiliating breach like Sony.

So far Miller and his studio have been able to raise $6,027 for their Kickstarter fund drive. They still have 25 days left to reach their $55,000 goal.

Glorious Leader! is planned to be available on PC and then on mobile devices. Miller did ask Microsoft and Sony if the game could be shared on Xbox Live and PlayStation before the cyberattack but was rejected.

“I think I’ll wait a little while before I reach out to them again.” Miller shared.

For now we will just have to wait and see if Glorious Leader! will be shared with the public or be shutdown.
