Good news, fans of tentacles! Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be arriving on the Playstation 4 next week, with the weekly Playstation Network update.
The announcement comes after a short delay in the game's intended release, with developer Young Horses confirming via Twitter that the project was taking slightly longer than expected. "April is the PS4 goal. There was never a definite date, or delay. Also, considering Xbox One means we thought about it in our brains," Young Horses tweeted earlier in February.
The PS4 version of Octodad will feature new controller figurations utilizing Playstation Move (god help us), double Playstation Moves (oh, GOD), and Playstation Move plus Nav Controller (*glurbles that sound sort of like open weeping*). This is in addition to new gameplay challenges, including deck swabbing, jig dancing, and new disguises for the charming cephalopod.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch will release next week at $14.99. Playstation Plus subscribers will receive a 20 percent discount for the first week, making it $11.99.
