Star Wars: Episode VII Is Set 30 Years After Episode VI

Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that "principal photography on Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams, will commence May 2014, and will be based at London's historic Pinewood Studios."

Principal photography refers to the time of production where actors are filmed on set, as opposed to pre production and post production.

In addition, it was announced that the film will feature three new, young heroes and "some very familiar faces."
