CD Projekt Red has revealed the identity of the second playable character for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In addition to controlling Geralt, players will take on the role of Ciri, a mysterious woman who is being hunted for her incredible power. Ciri is part of an ancient prophecy, and is said to be a descendant of a long-forgotten elven bloodline.
Players will not be able to switch between the two characters at will. Ciri will only be playable at certain points in the game's storyline. CD Projekt Red has also stated that though Ciri will be playable at certain points, Wild Hunt is still primarily Geralt's story.
The game is scheduled to release May 19, 2015, on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
