Patrick Fugit will play Kyle Barnes in Cinemax’s upcoming show Outcast.
Outcast is based on the comic book series written by the creator of The Walking Dead Robert Kirkman.
Outcast focuses on Kyle Barnes, a man who has been plagued by demonic possession his entire life and now as an adult he is looking for answers. The relatively new comic has already seen success. The first issue of Outcast, which came out this past summer, sold more copies than that month’s The Walking Dead.
The series is one of three television pilots being created based on comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The other pilots are The Walking Dead companion series and Thief of Thieves.
Fugit has starred in numerous movies and shows, such as as Gone Girl and We Bought a Zoo.
No release date or time frame has been announced for when the pilot will air.
