Destiny's tweaked Iron Banner event, dubbed “The Iron Banner: Reforged,” will be coming to the game on November 18, and will run until November 24.
The event includes a number of improvements over the last event, in response to feedback by some players that equipment didn't factor in as much as expected. Players must now be level 20 or higher to lead a fireteam into the new Iron Banner playlist. Your friends who are not level 20 yet can join into the fun, too, albeit at a disadvantage.
The event mechanics have been reworked, too. Bungie has stated that “Your defense rating affects how you take damage. Your attack rating affects how you inflict damage.” Players with better gear now have a distinct advantage over those with inferior armor and weapons.
There is a host of new rewards and activities for players to participate in during the event. Lord Saladin has made a return, with new bounties for players to complete, exclusive legendary items to obtain, and new reputation ranks to achieve.
