Telltale’s Game of Thrones video game just released its first trailer. The game’s story follows the House Forrester. According to Telltale, “Caught up in the events of The War of the Five Kings, they are placed in a precarious position where members of the household must do everything they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom.”
Telltale explains, “House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always offered unswerving loyalty to the ruling great house of the North - the Starks. The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees. Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of Ironwood. The Forrester house words are 'Iron from Ice', which echoes their belief that - like the ironwood itself - the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger.”
Players will experience the game from a selection of five House Forrester characters. From Westeros to Essos, each character seeks to save House Forrester from destruction. A single character’s actions can affect what happens somewhere else in the game’s giant magnitude.
Cast members of the actual TV show Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow) are playing their roles in the game. More cast members will appear in the later episodes.
There is no release date for the game, yet. However, Telltale claims Game of Thrones will be available before the year’s end. The game will encompass the happenings of the end of season three to the beginning of season five.
