On Friday AMC announced that they have ordered a pilot for a series that takes place in the same world as their other hit show “The Walking Dead." However, this series will instead feature a whole new group of characters in a different location.
While every story told in the world of “The Walking Dead” including the comics, TV show, novels, and video game have taken place in the state of Georgia and the surrounding areas, this series will not. It will follow a different group of characters in a new location.
This will mark the third pilot in production based off a comic books made by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. The other two pilots in development are based off the comic book series are Thief of Thieves and Outcast.
