Super Smash Bros hasn’t even hit its release date, yet new characters are already getting unlocked.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS doesn't come out until Saturday in Japan and doesn't hit stores until October 3 for gamers elsewhere, but some gamers in Japan found a way to get a leaked copy of the anticipated game.
These gamers were able to unlock Ness (EarthBound), Falco (Star Fox), and Dark Pit (Kid Icarus). While writing this story, a player on Twitch was able to unlock Mr. Game & Watch, Dr. Mario, Wario, and Ganondorf as well, meaning all of these are most definitely in the game and gamers can expect to see and play them in the final version.
One character gamers can count of the lineup is Wolf O’Donnell (Star Fox). You won’t see him in the game unless you buy his trophy.
According to METRO, the list below contains the characters that Nintendo have in the official line-ups for both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game:
"Bowser, Captain Falcon (F-Zero), Charizard (Pokémon), Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Fox McCloud (Star Fox), Greninja (Pokémon), Ike (Fire Emblem), King Dedede (Kirby), Kirby, Link (The Legend Of Zelda), Little Mac (Punch-Out!!), Lucario (Pokémon), Lucina (Fire Emblem), Luigi, Mario, Marth (Fire Emblem), Mega Man, Meta Knight (Kirby), Mii Fighter, Pac-Man, Palutena (Kid Icarus), Princess Peach, Pikachu (Pokémon), Olimar (Pikmin), Pit (Kid Icarus), Robin (Fire Emblem), Rosalina & Luma (Super Mario Galaxy), Samus Aran (Metroid), Sheik (The Legend Of Zelda), Shulk (Xenoblade Chronicles), Sonic the Hedgehog, Toon Link (The Legend Of Zelda), Villager (Animal Crossing), Wii Fit Trainer, Yoshi, Princess Zelda (The Legend Of Zelda), and Zero Suit Samus (Metroid)."No word on the release date for the Wii U version of the game yet, but hopefully we'll hear something soon.
