Mirror's Edge 2 Debuted at E3

by Joseph Knoop

New footage for Mirror's Edge 2 was debuted at E3, including early versions of the game's evolution as a parkour simulator.

EA developers claim that series' heroine Faith will have a broader moveset, encouraging analysis of each environment and combat encounter. Sound design emphasizes "tight, controlled hits" against enemies, illustrating Faith's power and efficiency.

Environments look next-gen for sure, but the beauty of Mirror's Edge is its art style, allowing for emphasis of color and geometry. It looked great on last gen systems, so it's a safe bet that it will look fine on current.

The developer also promises "more varied gameplay," we'll just have to wait and see if that faith is well deserved.
