By Jake Doolin

Game retailer GameStop made a surprising announcement at its 2014 investor meeting, stating that they plan to close 120 to 130 stores this year and refocus on mobile technology. CEO Paul Raines revealed the plan for a "GameStop 3.0" which will be "a new phase of [the] company's lifespan that will see it aggressively expand its footprint into gaming-adjacent tech fields."

Specifically the company plans to support Apple products like the iPhone and iPad, along with the companies own brands Spring Mobile and Simply Mac.
