Fox developing X-Men series

by Scott Minor
Fox Entertainment Chairman Gary Newman has revealed that Fox is working on an X-Men TV series.
However, there are some complications with making the series. Even though 20th Century Fox has the rights to the X-Men movies the comic is owned by Marvel, which is owned by Disney who also runs the ABC network.
Newman said that he is optimistic about the series and that he had a good meeting with the people at Marvel.
Since Fox is still in the development phase Newman doesn’t think the show will be ready before the 2016-2017 TV season.
This new potential X-Men show would be an addition to the list of shows based off Marvel stories. These shows include ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter. Marvel is also producing five different shows for Netflix including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders.
