Ace Attorney fans have reason to celebrate this holiday season, as the HD Trilogy is being released in North America on Dec. 9 for the 3DS, Capcom confirmed this week at New York Comic Con.
The collection will contain the first three games in the series, all remastered in redrawn high-resolution. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations, will all be included.
In addition to the updated graphics, the games will also have 3D support, improved translations, and the option to play the games with the original Japanese audio. Through a combination of gameplay styles, the series tells the comical and dramatic story of rookie defense attorney Phoenix Wright.
The “Investigation” phases happen before each court trial, and play like a point-and-click adventure game, where the “Trail” segments are more visual novel based, with logic and puzzle solving elements. The trilogy will be available via digital download through the Nintendo eShop, and will retail for $29.99.
