Naughty Dog Offering Free Maps to Last of Us Players
By Jake Doolin
Naughty Dog has taken to their official website to address the issues surrounding The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Remastered's multiplayer matchmaking. Since the game's rerelease last month, players have experienced long matchmaking times.
In response to these claims Naughty Dog has released LiveUpdates and Patch 1.02, which resolved many of the matchmaking issues.
However, Naughty Dog isn't happy with the current, shorter times players are experience and is setting out to make them even shorter.
"Over the last couple of weeks, we have deployed LiveUpdates and Patch 1.02, which have resulted in some significant improvements, but there is still more to be done to reduce the matchmaking wait times," Naughty Dog said in a press release.
To make up for the issues players have had and the team's response to them, Naughty Dog is releasing two free maps.
"We're glad to say that we've decided to release these two maps for free on both the PS3 and PS4 in appreciation for all of your continued patience as we work to resolve the matchmaking issues."
No release date has been given for when players can expect the content, but Naughty Dog has stated to expect it in the upcoming weeks.
