The summer superhero movie showdown everyone wanted is off.
According to The Wrap's Jeff Sneider, Warner Bros is moving the release date of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, to March 25, 2016, three months earlier than their original release date of May 6.

According to Deadline, this move is part of Warner Bros' plans involving nine currently untitled DC films, as well as two untitled WB films. While the move makes sense, part of me wants to believe the idea of going up against financial juggernaut Captain America 3 scared Warner Bros. away from the summer timeslot.
