Despite rumors to the contrary, Anchorman and Step Brothers director Adam McKay will not take Edgar Wright's place as director of Marvel's Ant-Man.
McKay confirmed his lack of involvement via Twitter earlier Saturday.
And yes, met w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work.

McKay was reportedly involved in negotiations with Marvel after the previous director Edgar Wright (known for Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim) stepped down. Rumor suggested that Wright became embroiled in creative and scheduling conflicts with Marvel and Disney executives, prompting his departure.
The studio says the change in director and production staff will not impact its expected release date of July 17, 2015.
