At a Nintendo Direct event today, Nintendo announced separate releases for it upcoming Smash Bros game. The 3DS version is slated for a release this summer, while the WiiU version will be out in winter. Besides the release announcement, other bits of info on the upcoming game were announced.
New modes were shown including a ‘For Fun’ and a ‘For Glory’ mode. The ‘For Fun’ is standard for smash, the new ‘For Glory’ mode is a Final Destination only, no items mode set for hardcore players.
Information on a few returning characters was also shown at the event. The biggest change comes from the separation of Zelda and Sheik along with Samus and Zero Suit Samus. In the upcoming game there characters will be their own separate playable avatars. Also announced was the return of Yoshi.
