Pikachu Will Be Japan's Mascot for the 2014 Soccer World Cup

by Nick Dowell

Thanks to a deal between Nintendo and Adidas, everyone's favorite electric mouse has officially been chosen  to be one of Japan's mascots for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Pikachu will be joined by an overly adorable cast of other Pokemon, including Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Chespin, Meowth, and a few more. As you can see in the picture they all look super excited about soccer while they wear Japan's signature "Samurai Blue" uniform.

Just a heads up, Japan, if you somehow find a way to let your team wear Pikachu ears and a tail during the games, you will have literally all my support.
