 by Nick Dowell

According to a source at The Verge who is "familiar with Microsoft's plans," the company intends to expand the reach of Xbox Live to multiple platforms, including Android and iOS. Some of these details were unveiled in a recent job posting on Microsoft's website that has since been taken down.

"We will create a modern framework that is open-source, lightweight, extensible and scalable across various platforms, including Windows Store, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android," the job posting read.

According to Polygon, a spokesperson from Microsoft said that the company is "always looking for talented people to innovate now and in the future. We don't have any further comment on this or any other job posting."

So tell us, what do you think? Do you want Microsoft on your smart phone?
