Game Director of Uncharted 4, Justin Richmond, Leaves Naughty Dog

By Jake Doolin

Uncharted 4 game director, Justin Richmond, announced his departure from Naughty Dog today. Richmond, who has worked for the studio since 2008, made the following statement to IGN:

"I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog. I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can't wait to be a part of."

Richmond had previously worked on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' multiplayer, and as a game director on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

This news comes a few weeks out from Uncharted 4 lead writer, Amy Hennig, announcing her own departure from the studio. It's not adding up to good news for Sony Worldwide Studios, which has faced many layoffs and departures this month.
