Valve announced today that Steam Family Sharing is now available for all users.
The new service allows for up to five Steam accounts to share a single collection of games across up to 10 computers. When users play a game shared with them, they can expect achievements and Cloud saving based on their individual account.
"Players who share computers can now share their available libraries with one another, each earning their own achievements and saving their own game progress to the Steam Cloud," Steam said in the announcement.
In the Frequently Asked Questions of the Family Sharing page, Valve did confirm that users will have to be online in order to share with each other. They also confirmed that users have to share their whole library, not just specific games. There also may be games that are unavailable for sharing.
