Nintendo posted in press release today that
on May 20 of this year, certain online functions offered through
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection will no longer accessible. The services affected by this outage includes
online play, matchmaking, and leaderboards for Wii, DS and DSi games. Users can
still play the games offline regardless of the outage.
Online play for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will be unaffected
(outside of Wii mode on the Wii U and DS games played on the 3D)S. The Wii and DSi eShops should also be unaffected.
