Harold Ramis passed away at 12:53 AM today due to complications from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, his wife Erica Mann Ramis said. He was 69 years old.
Ramis is known for his many films, most notably being GhostBusters, which he co-starred in with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver. He also directed and helped write Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Groundhog day, and more.
