Wii Games Coming to Wii U eShop

by Graham Taylor

Nintendo revealed today that Wii games will now be available for purchase on the Wii U eShop. Starting today, you will be able to download and play Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Nintendo plans to add many of their most popular titles to the eShop. This month alone they will be adding Punch Out on January 22 and the Metroid Prime Trilogy on January 29.

The games will retail for $19.99 digitally, but will be half off the first week they are for sale, for only $9.99. The digital games will also allow for the Gamepad to be used as a controller if they previously had Classic Controller capabilities.

Nintendo will continue releasing titles for digital distribution throughout the year.
