A copy of Stadium Events, which VGGrader.com rates as near mint, was put on eBay for an initial price of $5,000 this Monday. Since then, 15 more bids have been made from a dozen people. The current bid is $35,100. The bidding will end on Thursday, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET.

Stadium Events was released in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, but was taken off of the market in 1988. In the game’s place, Nintendo released the “family fun fitness” mat technology and game under a new brand.

According to retro gaming site Racketboy, only about 2,000 copies of the game were made in North America, but 200 had only reached stores before the game was recalled.

The person who put the game up on eBay claims that he owned Stadium Events since the early 1990s and that he used to work for Nintendo.
