Sony’s new TV streaming service for the PS3 and PS4, PlayStation Vue, will be made available in the first quarter of 2015.
Sony President and CEO Kaz Hirai made this announcement at Sony’s CES Conference. The initial announcement that Sony was going to create a TV streaming service was made at last year’s conference.
The service is expected to include local broadcast channels along with some cable networks from companies like Fox, NBCUniversial, and Viacom.
PlayStation Vue will also have on-demand content and will let users’ record TV shows and give them unlimited access to them for a certain amount of time.
There has been no announcement of a subscription cost at this time.
