One of the many games shown off at tonight's Video Game Awards was Mario Maker. More specifically, Nintendo showed off the level building tools that players can expect to use.
The game is releasing as a way to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Super Mario Bros.
Mario maker will allow players to create their own Super Mario levels with both old-school and more modern graphics. Some of the features shown off include platform creation and enemy placement.
Showing off the game, Shigeru Miyamoto said that he felt that the game's act of creation would be a good fit for the 30th anniversary. He also said that he has a desire to make this creation tool "a series of its own."
Mario Maker will release on the Wii U sometime in 2015.
