New Fan Made Pokemon Game in the Works

by Nick Dowell

A new fan-made Pokemon game, called Pokemon Insurgence, is currently being developed by a fan of the series.

Insurgence takes all of the favorite features from every Pokemon game and combines them into one in the style of an old-generation Pokemon title using RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials. According to the game's subreddit, it will feature all 721 Pokemon and be set in a new region called the Torren region.

The game will feature all mega evolutions and primal evolutions that have been announced, as well as some specially made evolutions like Mega Eevee, as well as armor for Pokemon.

The game also contains various challenge modes, like a Nuzlocke mode or a Randomized challenge. These modes will add challenge to the game by enforcing the rules of the various challenge modes instead of expecting the players to adhere to them.

There is no release date set for this project, but the creator of the project hopes to get a demo out before the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Those feeling impatient can play the creator's previous games, Pokemon Zeta and Omicron.

Those interested in the project can look at some screenshots of the project here and check out the project's subreddit.
