As teased on their Kickstarter page, Comcept revealed a color-change on their Mighty No. 9 hero Beck. In earlier stages they planned for Beck to have a “neutral, gray base.”
According to director Koji Imaeda, “white is a combination of all colors of light”, and they “felt that would actually suit his character better!” Comcept even revealed the skin was already updated on their developer build.
Comcept also showed the newest version of the box art, where Beck is already recolored. The game box is delivered to backers of $40 or more, along with the digital soundtrack and a game manual.
The projected release date for Mighty No. 9 is still April 2015, still on schedule since Comcept’s last update revealing potential downloadable content.
