Jurassic World Teaser Trailer Released
by Joseph Knoop
Hold onto your butts, Jurassic Park fans...
The teaser trailer for Jurassic World was released Sunday morning, featuring just less than 20 seconds of new footage from Universal Pictures' latest installment in the series, which comes 14 years after the poorly received Jurassic Park III.
The trailer, set to a simple, haunting piano rendition of the original Jurassic Park theme showcases brief glimpses at a number of the franchise's iconic subjects. There's the (newly mechanical) park gate, a herd of what appears to be Gallimimus flocking towards a tour group, a pair of park visitors observing a larger species while riding in a transparent glass orb and actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt looking particularly worried.
The film is set more than 20 years after the original, with the island of Isla Nubar now sporting a fully functional dinosaur park, in accordance with John Hammond's dream.
Actor BD Wong is also confirmed to reprise his role as Doctor Henry Wu, the geneticist responsible for engineering the creatures.
The full trailer will debut Thursday during NBC's Thanksgiving football matches, as well as online.
