The Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be teaming up with various Marvel heroes in an upcoming series by writer Brian Michael Bendis.
Bendis says the series is a push to get the Guardians to be a larger part of the Marvel franchise.
"Part of my uber-plan was to have the Guardians be more a part of the Marvel Universe and not off doing their own thing," he says.
He went on to say that this series won't just be a bunch of one off stories.
"These aren't just fun adventures," he says. "These are going to be stories that matter to the team and matter to the cosmic landscape in general."
The series will launch in February 2015 with the Guardians meeting the Avengers in a two-part storyline. It will also feature the return of a "fantastic" villain that hasn't been seen for a while.
