Activision announced in an earnings call today that Destiny had the biggest new franchise launch ever and was one of the ten biggest video game launches of all time, earning over $500 million dollars.
Developer Bungie released statistics about its players. The average play time is three hours on weekdays and four hours on weekends. Since the launch, over 9.5 million players have gotten onto the Bungie servers.
Destiny has DLC named The Dark Below scheduled to release December 9.
