At its launch, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released episodically. It will be sold through four separate episodes in early 2015. The episodes will debut on a weekly basis, each one including hours of gameplay.
Each episode will cost $5.99, or a $24.99 season pass. The season pass version will include extra content, the specifics of which have not been announced yet. After all four episodes have been released, a disc based version will also be released, retailing at $39.99. This will include the bonus content found in the season pass version and will “further gameplay content” according to Capcom.
Despite
being the sequel to 2012’s Resident Evil
Revelation, the story will feature neither Jill Valentine or Chris
Redfield, but will instead star Claire Redfield and newcomer Moira Burton, the
daughter of Barry Burton from the original Resident
Evil.
Resident
Evil Revelations 2 will be available for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox
One.
