News Features Announced for WWE 2K15

by Scott Minor

2K Games has officially announced all the details for WWE 2K15.

This will mark the second consecutive year that 2K has made the game and will be the first entry for the series on the the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

One of the biggest additions to this years’ installment is the introduction of MyCAREER Mode. Similar to the My Career mode in the NBA 2K games, MyCAREER Mode in WWE 2K15 will have you create a WWE Superstar and play through his career. You will start your career in WWE’s developmental program NXT, work your way up to Monday Night RAW, and eventually try to become a WWE Champion.

The last two WWE games featured Attitude Era and WrestleMania modes where you relived some of WWE’s greatest moments. WWE 2K15 will have a similar mode called 2K Showcase where you can relive and play some of WWE’s greatest rivalries including John Cena vs. CM Punk and Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels.

WWE Superstars, Divas, and Legends are making their debuts this year. Characters include Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Curtis Axel, Xavier Woods, Cameron, Naomi, and Tamina. This game will also be the first time wrestling legend Sting will be in a WWE game.

Other improvements for the game include greater fidelity using proprietary facial and body scanning technology and five times as many move animations compared to any other WWE video game.

Advertised to have the best commentary than any previous WWE game, there are more than five times as many recorded lines  by Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. This year the duo recorded the lines together to make the commentary seem more like a conversation compared to other games where they recorded their commentary line separately.

WWE 2K15 will also have a soundtrack curated by WWE superstar John Cena.

Similar to NBA 2K14, many of this years’ new features will only be available to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The only new features to be included in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will be 2K Showcase, the new soundtrack, and new members to the roster.

You can get two different versions of Sting when you pre-order the game. The game goes on sale in North America on October 28 and will be available internationally on October 31.
