More Details on Tom Clancy's The Division Revealed at E3

by Nick Dowell

More information on Tom Clancy's The Division were revealed at E3 today with a trailer introducing how the world got to the apocalyptic condition it fell into.

It started off sufficiently creepy, with time lapses and a woman crying while singing Silent Night. The lapses showed a normal home slowly devolving into chaos as the world around it ended. Doors were boarded. Blood was splattered on the windows.

In the midst of the sadness, a fight breaks out between two thugs and a random man, who is soon joined by a group of people who help him out only to get attacked by some sort of militia.

It was nice to see a Tom Clancy game where the main characters weren't military experts of some sort (or at least not visibly). The lack of humanity was good to see, though I'm kind of jaded to the whole thing considering the abundance of apocalyptic stories in the world now. Hopefully The Division can break away from the norm and tell an exceptional story.
