Far Cry 4 Gameplay Revealed
by Joseph Knoop
The first gameplay footage of Far Cry 4 debuted at E3.
The demo features the player character scaling the the mountains of the Kyrat region, thousands of feet up in the air. The player utilized a grapple hook to move from cliff to cliff.
After taking down an enemy outpost in true Far Cry fashion (with the aid of a rapid fire crossbow), the player utilized a wingsuit (a feature unlocked late into Far Cry 3) to glide dozens of miles down the mountain, landing outside an enemy fortress. The player calls in Far Cry 3 DLC character Hurk to bring in a gyrocopter, flying into the fortress and letting loose with the copter's minigun. Hurk can be controlled by a second player, implying we'll see some amount of co-op in Far Cry 4.
The game will most definitely feature the frenetic action we're accustomed to. The footage closed with an elephant ramming an enemy jeep, exploding on impact.
Ubisoft, just don't make me kill the elephant.
