Good Old Games would consider an "early access" program

Creating your own video game may have just become easier for some as online retailer "GOG.Com" has announced possible plans to adapt an "early access" program for their website.

"We've obviously looking at it," said Marcin Iwinski, founder of GOG's parent company CD Projekt, in an interview with Eurogamer.

Iwinski says it would be different than Steam's popular "Early Access" program.

"With the approach that Steam has they decided not to (curate submissions), and it's fine, it works extremely well... You're a developer and you can get to Early Access and charge 40-whatever for your game, for your non-working alpha. And they pocketing immediately."

GOG would take their program in a different direction following the public scrutiny of Steam's Early Access program when Steam was forced to remove "Earth: Year 2066" because players had issues with the play ability of the alpha.

Is Steam losing it's grasp on the digital PC gaming age? Do you use GOG for purchasing games?
