First "Tales from Borderlands" Screenshots & Details Released

by Joseph Knoop

It's no secret that Telltale Games have become the new kings of adventure games, with projects announced involving popular franchises such as Game of Thrones and Gearbox's Borderlands.

The first images of Telltale's "Tales from Borderlands" were released early Monday, and showcase the same cell-shaded visual style the series has become known for. The images also confirm that the game will have a dialogue interface similar to Telltale's The Walking Dead, allowing players to choose between various verbal responses during a set time limit.

Tales from Borderlands features two playable characters, including Hyperion data-miner Rhys and Pandora-native con artist Fiona as they both scheme their way into riches and glory. Though neither are vault hunters, players will come across familiar characters after the events of Borderlands 2.

Episodes will be priced at $4.99 individually, or for an as-of-yet unpriced season pass. Players will also be able to transfer loot they acquire in the game to other installments in the Borderlands franchise, according to a blog post by producer Adam Sarasohn.
