Nintendo announced the Mega Evolution form of legendary Pokémon Rayquaza. The reveal comes from another trailer for the new Pokémon games, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Rayquaza is the third of the main legendary Pokémon in the third generation of titles. Mega Rayquaza will have a unique ability, Delta Stream, which protects Flying-type Pokémon from Super Effective moves and creates the weather condition Strong Winds which overrides all other weather effects and prevents other weather patterns from forming. Rayquaza will also have a new move in its move set, Dragon Ascent, which is the strongest Flying-type move and will also lower Defense and Special Defense stats when used.
The new ability and move match earlier announcements for Primal Groudon and Primal Kyroge, the two others of the legendary Pokémon triad.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will release November 21.
