by Carmen Schwierking
Marvel has announced their upcoming movie line up from 2016 to 2019. Some new heroes have been added to the world and other sequels have gotten confirmed release dates.
On May 6, 2016, Captain America: Civil War will release. The plot involves conflicting ideas about the Superhero Registration Act ultimately leading to fights between Iron Man and Captain America.
Later that year on November 4, Doctor Strange releases. Doctor Strange is looking to be played by Benedict Cumberbatch, as negotiations with him start this week.
Next will be Guardians of the Galaxy 2 premiering on May 5, 2017, two months before movie’s original date on July 28, 2017.
Thor: Ragnarok will release on July 28, 2017. Chris Hemsworth has been confirmed to return as Thor in the movie and so has Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
November 3, 2017 will bring the Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman was cast as the leading role; however, this will not be his first appearance. He will play the Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War as well.
Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 will debut May 4, 2018. Not to be confused with the upcoming movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, this movie ties in all the plots and after credits teasers that have come before. The plot revolves around the six Infinity Gems, three of which have been seen in Marvel movies before.
Following that summer on July 6, 2018, will be Captain Marvel. Despite many who hoped for a Black Widow movie, it's still very exciting that this will be the first female superhero main character movie by Marvel.
The Inhumans movie will release November 2, 2018. Long rumored and finally confirmed, Inhumans hopes to bring a new series to the franchise by following the adventures of people who have latent powers without technically being mutants.
Wrapping up the movie announcements is Avengers: Infinity War, Part 2 on May 3, 2019. Following the split movie trend, this will finish the Infinity War story.
The next Marvel to be released will be Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015.
