Dying Light Cancelled on PS3/Xbox 360
by Graham Taylor
Developer Techland announced that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of their upcoming game Dying Light have been cancelled.
In a post on their Facebook page, the team stated that older consoles had to be left behind due to their technical limitations: “[U]p to 200,000 objects can be displayed in the game at once. Add to this our use of realistic, physics-based lighting technology and you really start to push the next-gen systems to the limits.”
Techland decided to cut out the last generation when they realized that “older consoles just couldn’t run the game and stay true to the core vision of Dying Light.”
Dying Light is still scheduled to release on January 27 for the PS4, XboxOne, and PC.
