A bundle for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros is available for preorder on Amazon for $99. Included in the bundle is a GameCube controller adapter with one specially themed Smash Bros. controller.
The game and bundle have yet to have a confirmed release date. However, the placeholder on Amazon’s website claims that both will be out on December 31, 2014.
Several fans of the Smash Bros series grew up playing the GameCube iteration Super Smash Bros Melee and are most familiar with the mechanics of the GameCube controller. In response to this, Nintendo is releasing the GameCube adapter and controller to allow for a more classic gaming experience. The adapter allows for up to four players on the same console at one time.
