Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, has confirmed that the PS Vita version of the game is in its final round of testing with Sony.

The PS Vita Edition will contain all of the features from the PS3 version of Minecraft, including online play.

Those who already own the PS3 version will be able to obtain the Vita version free of cost. DLC will be transferable between the games. A $19.99 bundle allows players to get both editions of the game simultaneously.

Minecraft was announced for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita at Gamescom 2013. The PS3 version was released December 2013 while the PS4 version was released September this year.

A retail disc version of the PS4 Minecraft will release on October 3 in Europe and October 7 in the United States. A patch will be required for the game upon download.
