Kingdom Hearts 3D Remake Being Considered

by Andrew Hughes

Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has revealed that, for a while now, he has been considering a remake of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. In an interview with Weekly Famitsu last year he said that “it’d be sad for one chapter not to be in HD in remaking the series.”

Since then, Nomura revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that a remake of Dream Drop Distance is still being considered.

His recent decision to move away from Final Fantasy XV to concentrate more on Kingdom Hearts III also implies he will have more time for this potential remake.

Nomura has also said development for Kingdom Hearts III is going well otherwise, and Square Enix is planning on making it their first priority for the time being.

Kingdom Hearts II.5 Remix is slated to release in Japan next week, and in North America, Europe and Australia in early December.
