GameInformer reached out to the FBI about the incident and received the following statement:"TodayAA Flight 362 traveling from Dallas to San Diego was diverted to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The flight landed without incident. Passengers were safely removed from the plane

Lizard Squad, the hacker group claiming responsibility for the PSN outage from earlier today sent a bomb threat via Twitter about an American Airlines flight carrying Sony Online Entertainment John Smedley.
Awesome. Flight diverted to Phoenix for security reasons.

Earlier this afternoon, the hackers sent the tweet below to American Airlines. Another tweet, that has since been taken down, had an image showing Smedley's ticket for the flight and asked if Smedley was truly on the flight.
.@AmericanAir We have been receiving reports that @j_smedley's plane #362 from DFW to SAN has explosives on-board, please look into this.

Since then the hackers continued to tweet threats about the flight.Polygon confirmed via FlightAware.com that the flight, American Airlines Flight 362, has been diverted from its path.
