Steam Controller to Debut in "October or November"
by Joseph Knoop
One of PC Gamer's sources on Steam has revealed that Valve's Steam controller will debut in October or November, according to the publication.
The controller has already gone through a series of revisions. The new design features two four-diamond button layouts similar to Dualshock controller, but located between the haptic trackpads, rather than on the far sides.
PC Gamer also reports that this finalized version of the controller is the final step before full market availability of the Steam Machine, indicating a late 2014 or early 2015 release date.
PC Gamer's source also alluded to the fact that "about 500 games" will be playable on the Steam Machine by the end of the year. The count currently sits at 382.
