The Last of Us has now joined the league of game franchises getting movie adaptations. Deadline reports that Screen Gems, the studio behind the Resident Evil movies, has signed on to distribute the movie with Sam Raimi directing.
Neil Druckmann, the creative director for the game, is writing the script and the creative architects will be Naughty Dog Co-presidents Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra, as well as Druckman and the game's director Bruce Straley.
