Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson has just announced he is cancelling the Oculus Rift edition of Minecraft.
This news come less than an hour after Facebook announced their plan to purchase Oculus Rift for $2 billion.
Persson's decision comes via his personal Twitter account.
We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out.

It seems like game developers, journalists, and even Redditors are reacting with at best cautious optimism, and at worst fire and brimstone. We'll keep you updated on the reactions from important industry figures as they come.
